Momentous Worship

A moment in God’s presence transforms us

Momentous Worship

At Belay, we value momentous worship. What do we mean by that? Generally speaking, when someone says an event is momentous, they’re saying it’s an event of “great importance or significance.” And that definition partly hints at what we mean by momentous worship.

But it’s more than that, by momentous worship, we’re also saying that our worship together—typified by singing praise and hearing a message from God’s word—will provide moments of positive transformation in God’s presence. Stated simply:

We believe a moment in God’s presence can forever and positively transform a life.

Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him. Matthew 20:34 (NIV)

Our corporate worship will be marked by preaching and teaching that is deeply Bible-based, and readily applicable to everyday life.

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16 (NIV)
