Our Name
"Belay" is a term borrowed from a popular Boulder sport — rock climbing— and it can have a couple meanings.
As a Noun
As a noun, a belay can refer to a place where you anchor yourself to a rock.
As a Verb
As a verb, it means to apply tension to a rope to keep a climber from falling, and to lessen that tension as the climber ascends—making possible a successful climb.
Our Prayer
Our prayer is that Belay will be a place that we can belong to a loving church family, believe in Jesus, become all God untended, and belay others toward belonging, believing, and becoming.
