Relationships are hard. It can feel like the only way to gain acceptance is to fit into someone else’s mold. 

You may long for closeness, but it seems like the only path to intimacy is to hide your honest self. And community? It means being absorbed, not accepted. 

“For God so loved the world,” the Bible says, “that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

You see, God is different. He put his love for you before your belief in Him. In other words, you can belong before you believe. 

And nothing—not your background, your likes or dislikes, your fears or hangups—can separate you from His love.
